Week 7:Comunication Skills

Task 1:
Written: E-mail, If you need to E-mail your employer to tell them something, you could make a mistake by using short versions of works like you would do with friends and that looks very bad, and uneducated. So try to make sure you are using correct grammer and be very formal.

Verbal: When you are talking to your employer make sure to use correct grammer in your sentences and be very polite. Dont use slang that you use around you friends because that also looks very bad and makes you look not serious about your job.

Non-Verbal: This is one of the most important, the way you carry yourself and dress, dont ever wear clothes that are all blinged up and have holes in them, always keep eye contact and have a good posture. It is very important that you look profesional and act it.

Task 2

I think over all Im pretty good at communicating in most ways, I always try to keep eye contact and dress right for the occasion, unless Im around a group of friends then I dont care so much at all. But if Im at work or at a fancy place or talking to a elder I try to bevery polite and curtious. I think I could work on some things like maybe getting better posture or keeping eye contact a bit more. I do sometimes act differently with other people, like when Im with friends I really couldnt care less, but at work or around my relatives I go on very good behaivor and very quit and nice.

Journal Entry:

This week at my sevice learning place we were teaching the kids about how important recycling is, and how we need to keep this planet clean. The kids really enjoyed learning about that kind of stuff and we took them to the recycling plant and they really seemed to get how we need to get this earth clean and help keep it beautiful. But I think Im learnign how to communicate well with kids, how to get it through to them what we are tryign to tell them, and with my employer it is my mom so im not the formal, but at my real job I am. I learning that working with children is no piece of cake, it is very difficult to teach and keep your patients with these kids. But I really enjoy helping them learn and get ready for the real worlld.
